Chandler Moore and Naomi Raine, two members of Maverick City Music, have announced their departures from the Grammy-winning group.

Both artists recently released statements on social media about their decisions to depart the group.

Their announcements come just a few days atter Chandler Moore and MOWORKS LLC filed a lawsuit against Maverick City executive, Norman Gyamfi. The suit was filed in the US District Court-Atlanta Division.

The lawsuit alleges that Gyamfi, who was Moore’s manager from 2020 to 2023, misused his position to enrich himself, misappropriate intellectual property, and deprive Moore of millions in royalties.

In addition, the lawsuit alleges that Gyamfi forged Moore’s signature on key business and legal documents.

Other entities mentioned in Moore’s lawsuit include Insignia Holding Co., TRIBL Records, and Maverick City Music.

Norman Gyamfi is the co-founder of Maverick City Music and TRIBL Records. He recently drew criticism after he appeared on the Isaac Carree Show and publicly asserted that gospel music was “stale” and “not evolving.”

Both Chandler Moore and Naomi Raine were founding members of Maverick City Music.
The contemporary Christian group was founded in 2018 and has won 5 Grammy Awards.

Maverick City Music is best known for such chart-topping hits like “Promises” and “Jireh.”
