Derived from an old Etsako traditional song from Afemai land of Edo State, Nigeria, Ikhayere is a celebration of life, blessings, and God’s unfailing mercies. The song echoes with gratitude, reminding listeners that when you reflect on life’s countless gifts, the joy becomes uncontainable, overflowing into music and dance.

Ikhayere stands as the first official single from Dr KBK’s debut album series Jazz Chronicles, released under Arkmuzik International on August 22nd, 2017. This fresh jazz interpretation was written, arranged, performed, and produced by Dr KBK, showcasing his versatility and depth as a musician. The single also features Joan Paul, who previously released another version of the timeless classic in 2010, also produced and arranged by Dr KBK.

About the Artiste – DR KBK

Dr KBK (Noah Inu Momodu) is a seasoned music director, record producer, and entertainment business executive with more than two decades of excellence in the creative industry. Known for his expertise in talent discovery and development, he has significantly influenced the Nigerian entertainment scene and beyond through his works as a producer, public speaker, author, and creative coach.

His love affair with jazz music began at the age of 12, when his passion for piano playing evolved into a lifelong journey of composition, arrangement, and production. Over the years, Dr KBK has honed his skills into becoming a multi-instrumentalist, musicologist, producer, recording and performing artist, as well as a respected music business strategist.

As the Founder and Creative Director of Arkmuzik International, Dr KBK oversees a multimedia company with subsidiaries such as Proclaim Media Africa, Arkmuzik Academy, and A+ Club 360 platforms dedicated to shaping talents, promoting creativity, and raising the next generation of music and media innovators.
